This year campaign is continuing our activities initiated in 2013 and will make more visible the AGU and AJC contribution and efforts to increase awareness of rare disorders at the professional and society level. This year campaign will focus on:
Press Releases in Arabic and English Newspapers & Magazines. The announcement in Social Media. Rare disease day flyer distribution in the venue of the event. Rare disease day team TV and Radio interviews
A seminar dedicated to Genetics Myopathies and therapeutic translational research sponsored by Genpharm took place on 7th Feb 2017 in Aljawhara Center and 60 medical doctors from different hospitals and clinics in Bahrain attended.
The public awareness campaign on 25th of Feb 2017, Bahrain City Center mall, has as goal to interact with the society in order to increase the awareness about the rare diseases, the research is done all over the world for rare disorders and to improve the life quality of patients with rare diseases and their families.
Rare disease day booth will be active in Arabian Gulf University on 28th Feb 2017.
An update on rare disorders research projects worldwide will be presented at science colleges of different universities in Bahrain at the beginning of March 2017 to raise awareness about research possibilities in the field of rare diseases.
A specialized workshop on building rare diseases registries and national plans held by recognized experts from Europe is planned to be conducted in the beginning of April 2017.
